How It Works in QuickBooks Online

QuickBooks Online maintains an audit trail of each financial transaction as it is added, changed, or deleted. This lets you see who made the changes and exactly what changes were made throughout the history of a transaction. The audit trail is always on and can't be turned off by anyone.

Single-Click Access

From any transaction, clicking History of this transaction takes you to its audit trail. You can also access a transaction's audit trail from the activity log.

The audit trail feature is easy to use. When you look at the history of a transaction, data that was changed is shown in red text.
