Customer list—how it works

QuickBooks Online makes it very easy to track all your customers — who they are, their most recent payment, what they owe, and whether they pay sales tax. You can even create a note with any extra information. All of this information can be viewed individually or in summary, customized in a report, or printed out for a hard copy.

Viewing Customer Information

You can see customer information in three ways:

  • Customer List
    Shows names, balances, and if a note has been added.
  • Individual Customer Register
    Shows all posting transactions - invoices, sales receipts, credit memos, refund receipts, checks, payments, and journal entries.
  • Individual Customer Activity Summary
    Shows recent invoices, statements, payments and transactions, transactions with open balances, unbilled charges summary, and recurring charges, credits, and sales receipts.
